The Best Disney World FastPasses For Each Park

The Best Fastpasses for Disney World By Park Magic Kingdom

As a former cast member and lifetime Disney World guest, nothing hurts me more than seeing people “waste” their FastPasses on something like Dumbo or It’s a Small World. This isn’t to say that you shouldn’t go on these rides, but they almost always have a short wait. The best Disney World FastPasses for each park are the rides that notoriously have the longest wait times.

With FastPass+, you only get 3 FastPasses a day. You want to choose them wisely! Remember, you can always wait in the standby line for any other rides, so don’t waste your FastPass selection on the short lines. (Hint: there’s a way to add more FastPasses to your Disney World day…stick to the end to learn more!)

So what are the best FastPasses? Unfortunately, some of the best ones need to be booked up to 60 days in advance. That’s totally possible if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel. You get 30 days in advance for non-Disney properties.

The good news is you should be able to get the majority of these FastPasses below on short notice, even if it’s only a day in advance. I’ve organized this list of the best Disney World FastPasses for each park by level of difficulty. Sometimes certain rides seem impossible to get FastPasses for, so I’ll let you know a few realistic options too.

The Best FastPasses for Disney World by Park Tomorrowland

Best Magic Kingdom FastPasses

Let’s start with the most magical place on Earth. Magic Kingdom is notoriously challenging for FastPasses. It’s crowded, and the best rides go quickly. Be prepared for longer wait times for some of the most popular rides. Luckily, you should be able to find a few selections if you make your choice in advance.

Hardest to Get

  • Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (This one is extra hard!)
  • Space Mountain
  • Thunder Mountain
  • Splash Mountain

  • Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
  • Haunted Mansion
  • Jungle Cruise
  • Pirates of the Caribbean

Best Epcot FastPasses

Epcot doesn’t have nearly as many ride selections as the other parks, though there are still some tough FastPasses to grab from time to time. Luckily, Epcot is one of the parks you can enjoy without any rides!

Hardest to Get

  • Frozen: Ever After
  • Soarin
  • Test Track

  • Spaceship Earth
  • Living with the Land

Best FastPasses in Hollywood Studios

While this list has recently changed thanks to the opening of Toy Story Land, it’ll change again when Star War’s Galaxy Edge opens this summer. Until then, the coasters are the hardest FastPasses to snag at Hollywood Studios.

Hardest to Get

  • Slinky Dog Dash
  • Alien Swirling Saucers
  • Toy Story Midway Mania
  • Tower of Terror
  • Rock n’ Rollercoaster

  • Star Tours
  • Indiana Jones
The Best Fastpasses for Disney World Animal Kingdom

Best FastPasses at Animal Kingdom

Last but not least, we’ve reached Animal Kingdom. Once again, the coaster reign supreme here when it comes to getting FastPasses. Try to get your Pandora FastPasses as early as possible!

Hardest to Get

  • Avatar Flight of Passage
  • Na’vi River Journey
  • Kilimanjaro Safari
  • Expedition Everest

  • Dinosaur
  • Kali River Rapids
  • Festival of the Lion King
  • Finding Nemo: The Musical

How to Get Extra FastPasses at Disney World

It feels limiting to only get 3 FastPass options at Disney World. Believe it or not, there’s a way to get a bonus one. If you use all of your first 3 FastPasses, you’re free to make another selection. The key here is you have to use them all. You can’t just wait for them to expire.

This is why I encourage guests to book all of their FastPasses as early in the day as possible. That way you’ll have time in the afternoon or evening to add on a bonus one!

Choose the Best FastPasses at Disney World

It’s important to take advantage of your FastPass selection at Disney. When possible, make your selection as early as you can. Choosing at the 60-day mark will give you way more selections so you can get in all your favorite rides without worrying about wait times.

Then, you can use the standby lines for all of your other favorites. Can’t get the FastPass you want? Try riding in the first hour after the park opens or in the last hour before close. Usually lines are shorter or nonexistent at those times.

What are your favorite FastPasses at Disney World? I try to always get at least one of these above every trip!
